We welcome contributions from readers of CS4FN. Note that we do not pay for articles (nor do we take payment for articles). Articles published on our site are free to support teachers, kids and schools.
We do not advertise so will not use articles that attempt to do so overtly or otherwise nor include any links to other sites (especially not commercial sites) unless we think they are appropriate follow-on reading about the article for kids.
We make no guarantee that we will publish anything and it must be in the style of existing articles and suitable for both school children and adults and if selected will be edited before use. Topics must be computer science linked research, and/or computer science history, diversity and careers related and have a fun, interesting element.
Contributions sent to CS4FN are accepted on the following basis, unless alternative terms have been agreed prior to submission of the contribution.
Summary of copyright information
When submitting you must confirm the work is copyright free and you give us an unlimited license to use the material. We only accept articles written by others without use of AIs so you must confirm that you have not used AIs.
More detail on copyright
The Contributor will remain the copyright owner of the contributed material for the full term of copyright. The Contributor grants CS4FN and Queen Mary University of London a non-exclusive licence in such copyright throughout the world to use the Contribution, with the right to sublicense such copyright including on the basis specified in, “Using CS4FN material” and “Restrictions on use of material on the CS4FN website” which can be read here.
CS4FN and Queen Mary University of London will be free to use such contributed material in all its published media in both present and future forms e.g. print, electronic database, online, computer networks, derivative or any other versions and to use, publish, or deal with the contributed material in any form, media or manner as appropriate for the full term of copyright.
The Contributor warrants and undertakes that the contributed material is original (and not created by Artificial Intelligence); that it does not infringe any copyright, is not defamatory or otherwise actionable matter; that all statements in the contributed material purporting to be facts are to the best of his/her knowledge and belief true.
The Contributor will not object to any reasonable or necessary changes to the contributed material to appear in CS4FN or the University’s different published forms referred to above.
